PE 10 Summative Assessment

So as this semester has come to an end I have worked really hard to get where I am at this point. I have kept an exceptional attendance throughout the course of the year. I have always wanted to participate in any activity that we play and tried my personal best to encourage others to do the same. I have also shown a positive attitude to other people in this block. However, my fitness scores have improved a lot. In February, my beep test score was 9.8 but last week as we did our last run of the beep test my new record was 11. Last year, I always got 6 laps in the 30 minute run but this year I finished with getting 7 laps in the 30 minute run. Moreover I also improved in things such as the hill run and the community run. All of these changes occurred because I kept myself physically fit in and out of school daily. I have been going to the YMCA quite a lot this semester because I do not have that many academic classes. I have been contributing to the class a lot lately. I have always been volunteering to get the equipment ready of a certain sport or an activity throughout the year. I have also contributed to the class by getting the pinnies, making the teams and explaining the rules of the activity that we will play. I have kept track of working out in the sheets that were provided and I have also kept track of my fitness scores on the sheet that was also provided so I can reflect back to it when I need to. Every class I have always been ready for PE with full energy and a proper PE strip. The grade that I think I should deserve in this class is an A and the percent that I should achieve in this class is a 97%. The barriers that keep me from maintaining a healthy/active lifestyle is that loosing the tone of being physically active because of getting sick or any sort of sickness that makes me less energetic. Overall, I had a wonderful year where I enjoyed and had as much fun as I could.

Report Card

I have improved a lot over the semester in many ways in this class. My fitness scores have gone up as the semester moved on. I push myself everyday and try my best. Since the semester had commenced I was always prepared for this class by having proper PE strip. I put all my effort towards the things I do in PE and I take the initiative to encourage others to do the same. I always come to PE with full energy everyday. The work habit that I should deserve in this class is a G. The letter grade and percent I think I should achieve in this class is a 97% which is an A. I think I should deserve this because I contribute to the class each day by taking the leadership to start up an activity by organizing the equipment required, making teams and helping on getting the activity going.

My Spring Break 2013

I had a wonderful spring break full of energy and happiness. Since the weather was warm and sunny I had a lot of chances to get out and stay active each day during the break. I played various sports such as basketball, hockey, and badminton which helped me stay active. I went out for small jogs where I was able to accelerate my heart rate. However, I went to the Y to work out and also play sports when it was raining. I had a fantastic spring break and I kept myself active outside of school with all the things that were available to me.

Interim Report

As this semester approached to me I found out that I had improved a lot from last year. The first fitness testing I did had been incredibly improved from last year. I had pushed myself and kept myself in excellent shape. The way I contribute to the class is, I take the leadership to start up an activity by organizing the equipment required and helping on getting the activity going. I put all my effort to what I do in PE and I take the initiative to encourage others to do the same. Since this semester had commenced I was always prepared for this class by having proper PE strip. I work hard to develop certain skills to achieve success. I have committed myself to go to the YMCA 3 - 4 days a week so that I have an extra-curricular daily physical activity. However, I endure myself with avoiding junk food as much as can. I connect with the community by participating in events that happen in the community and contribute by volunteering in those events. However, I do volunteer at summer camps during the summer. The aspect I enjoy in the course is that we get two days of fitness because last year we were not active as we are this year. We tend to try our best in those two days during the week. There is nothing I like to see changed in this course. I never limit myself in participating in our daily physical activity, I like to contribute to all the activities that take place. My personal goals are to improve on my intellectual, interpersonal, cooperation, leadership, and my athletic skills. The overall work habit mark I think I have in this class is a G.

Week of February 4th - 7th

Since this week was a 4 day week we didn't get to do fitness on Friday. This week we were in the weight room. On Monday, I ended up playing floor hockey in the small gym where I took the ownership of setting up the game, taking out all the equipment, and making teams. Since we have fitness on Tuesday's, we were acquired to do the circuit which I found really effective for my body. I ran for about 40 minutes straight. On Wednesday and Thursday, we were in the weight room where we focused on working more muscles in one exercise. However on Thursday, our muscle of the day was our Quadriceps. We had to do at least 3 exercises where our Quadriceps were involved. Since I go to the YMCA 4 days a week I basically know how each machine works in the weight room. This describes what I did throughout the week.

My first fitness testing of the semester

This day I was admired to do my first fitness testing in this course as it was recommenced by the PE staff. At first, I started of with doing a beep test which helped my cardiovascular endurance. However, my score was reasonably acceptable which was a 9.0. I achieved this score because of the particular things I do outside of school. In order to improve this, I would try my best in all the things that I do at school related to PE and outside of school. Afterwards, I went and I checked my speed/agility which was done by a T-Test. In fact, my result was 11:12 seconds which I will try my best to improve throughout the semester. Later on, I was able to test my flexibility by certainly doing the sit and reach. As a result my level was at 1 which I can progress on by doing particular activities that are dealt with flexibility. Moreover, I did the activities for my muscular strength/endurance. I had not expected of the scores I achieved in these but they were great. Lastly, I went ahead and tested myself on the balance boards and while I was there I tested my power which had accelerated from last year. So this post explains the things I did on this day, how would I improve on these, and my related scores. I will try to make progress in all of these areas as the semester moves on.

My future goals for this semester

During this semester I would like to improve on my intellectual, interpersonal, cooperation, leadership, and my athletic skills. Throughout this course I want to be really active and act as an leader with strong communication skills. I have a passion of PE and it will remain the same. However, I will seek for assistance if needed. I hope to have an incredible semester as I look forward to it.
